Opt-out guide

How to remove yourself from Reversely.ai

To remove yourself from Reversely.ai, use its free opt-out form at reversely.ai/opt-out-request. The form takes one or more clear photos of your face, an anonymised scan of an ID or passport, and an email address for the outcome. Reversely.ai then blocks images of your face from its search results. The photos stay on the websites that host them.

First search free. No account needed. Updated November 6, 2026 by The FaceSearch Team.

Reversely.ai is an image search suite with an AI face search inside it, sold mostly per unlocked result. Its opt-out is a web form that asks Reversely.ai to block images of your face from its search results. The form is free and needs no account. This guide follows the form as it read on 6 November 2026; forms change, so if a field looks different, follow the form and use this page for what each step means.

What does the Reversely.ai opt-out actually do?

Reversely.ai says it will remove your images from its search results and block images of you that may appear there later. The block is keyed on the face photos you upload, so you do not have to list individual result URLs; the form has no URL field. It only affects Reversely.ai. The photos remain on the websites that host them, and every other face search engine needs its own request: see the guides for PimEyes, FaceCheck.ID and Lenso.ai, and remove my photos for FaceSearch.

What do you need before you start?

  • Clear photos of your face. The form accepts more than one and recommends several angles. Front-facing, well lit, nothing covering the face.
  • An anonymised scan of an ID or passport. Reversely.ai requires it to confirm that the face is yours. Black out the document number, address and any other detail that is not needed to match your face to your name; the form asks you to confirm the scan holds no sensitive information.
  • An email address you check. The confirmation and the outcome arrive by email.
  • To be 18 or older. One of the consent boxes asks you to confirm it. There is no route on the form for a parent acting for a child; use the contact details in Reversely.ai's privacy policy for that.

How do you submit the request?

  1. Open the opt-out form

Go to reversely.ai/opt-out-request, titled Opt-Out Request. The page also shows unrelated widgets from the site's other tools above the form; scroll to the three numbered steps.

  2. Step 1: upload your photos

Add one or more clear photos of your face. Tick the four boxes: consent to use the photos to delete your images, acceptance of the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, consent to send the photos through the site's face search in its People category, and confirmation that you are over 18.

  3. Step 2: upload an anonymised ID

Add a scan of an ID or passport with the sensitive fields blacked out, following the example images on the page. Confirm that the scan contains no sensitive information and consent to blocking images of you in search results.

  4. Step 3: enter your email

Give the address the confirmation letter should go to and agree to receive notifications about the outcome, then submit.

  5. Check the result

Reversely.ai states no processing time on the form. After the confirmation arrives, run a search for your own face on reversely.ai to see whether matches are gone; if some remain, submit again with a different angle or write to the contact in their privacy policy.

What does the opt-out not do?

When should you use the DMCA form instead?

The opt-out is for the person in the photo. The DMCA form at reversely.ai/dmca-request is for the copyright owner, usually the photographer, or an authorised agent. It asks for the URL of the infringing image, the country, a description of the violation, your details, proof that you are the owner or authorised to act, two consents and a signature, with a declaration under penalty of perjury. Reversely.ai says it will review the matter and take appropriate action to remove the content; it states no timeline and describes no counter-notice process. If you took the photo yourself, you can use both routes.

How does this apply to FaceSearch?

FaceSearch's own removal works by email, with no ID unless ownership of the face is disputed, and is always free; the steps are on remove my photos. Opting out of Reversely.ai does nothing to FaceSearch results, and the reverse is also true, so if you want your face out of face search generally, send a request to each engine and use the removal guide for the source sites.

Questions

01Is the Reversely.ai opt-out free?

Yes. The opt-out form and the DMCA form cost nothing and need no account. Reversely.ai charges for unlocking search results, not for removal requests.

02Do I have to send Reversely.ai my ID?

Yes, an anonymised scan of an ID or passport is a required step of the form. Black out the document number, address and anything else that is not needed to show the face and name match, and confirm on the form that no sensitive information remains.

03How long does it take?

Reversely.ai states no processing time on its form. You receive a confirmation by email and then a notification about the outcome. If nothing arrives within two weeks, search for your own face on the site and write to the contact address in its privacy policy.

04Does it remove my photos from the websites?

No. It blocks matches of your face from Reversely.ai's results. The photos stay on the sites that host them, and other engines keep showing them until you send each one its own request.

05Can I opt out a child?

The form requires the person submitting it to confirm they are over 18 and gives no parent route. Use the contact details in Reversely.ai's privacy policy for a request on behalf of a child, and report the pages hosting the photos directly.

06Does this also remove me from FaceSearch?

No. Each engine has its own index and its own request. FaceSearch's removal is by email and free; see remove my photos.
