Opt-out guide
How to remove yourself from Lenso.ai
To remove yourself from Lenso.ai, use its free opt-out form at lenso.ai/en/opt-out. One clear photo of your face is enough: Lenso.ai uses it to find and drop every matching image from its index, confirms by email, and says most requests are handled on business days in under 24 hours. The photos stay on the sites that host them.
First search free. No account needed. Updated November 6, 2026 by The FaceSearch Team.
Lenso.ai is an image search engine from Poland with a face category: upload a photo and it returns public pages where a similar face appears, in the regions where that feature is enabled. Its opt-out is a web form that asks Lenso.ai to remove every image of your face from its index. The form is free and needs no account. This guide follows Lenso.ai's own privacy pages and guides as they read on 6 November 2026; forms change, so if a field looks different, follow the form and use this page for what each step means.
What does the Lenso.ai opt-out actually do?
Lenso.ai states that one photo of your face is enough to remove all of your pictures from its index, that removed photos are not indexed again later, and that they can no longer be found through its image search. In other words, it is a block keyed on your face, applied across the whole index, rather than a list of individual URLs you have to supply. Lenso.ai also says that documents or extra personal information are usually not required, which makes its form lighter than PimEyes's, where an anonymised ID scan is mandatory.
What do you need before you start?
- One clear photo of your face, front-facing and well lit, under 10 MB. Lenso.ai's guide says one is enough; a second request with a different angle is sensible if a self-search afterwards still finds you.
- An email address you check. The confirmation and the final decision both arrive by email, and a reply may be needed if the photo was not clear enough.
- Nothing else in the normal case. Lenso.ai says it usually asks for no documents. Keep a redacted ID ready only in case the request is disputed.
How do you submit the request?
Open the opt-out form
Go to lenso.ai/en/opt-out, titled Image Opt-Out Request. The page's purpose line reads: request to remove your images from lenso.ai's search results.
Upload your face photo
Add the photo, keeping the file under 10 MB. Use the clearest front-facing picture you have; this photo is what the block is keyed on.
Fill in the rest of the form
Enter your email address and any fields the form shows, then submit. Lenso.ai's guide says you receive a confirmation email once the request is in.
Wait for the decision
Lenso.ai says requests are reviewed and accepted every business day and that images usually come down in under 24 hours. The final decision arrives by email.
Check with a self-search
Run a search of your face on Lenso.ai once the decision arrives. If matches remain, reply to the confirmation with another photo or contact contact@lenso.ai, which Lenso.ai lists for questions about the form.
How long does Lenso.ai take?
Lenso.ai's own figure is under 24 hours in most cases, on business days. Independent experience varies: one data-removal service reported about two weeks for its requests in 2026. Plan for the longer figure, keep the confirmation email, and follow up through contact@lenso.ai if nothing has arrived after two weeks.
Opt-out or DMCA and DSA: which form?
Lenso.ai runs two removal routes and its guides are explicit about which fits which case.
| Your situation | Form to use | What Lenso.ai says happens |
|---|---|---|
| Your face appears in results and you want every image of you gone | Opt-out form (lenso.ai/en/opt-out) | One face photo removes all matching images; they are not re-indexed later |
| A specific image you own the copyright to is indexed | DMCA or DSA form (lenso.ai/en/dmca) | Removal of that result; Lenso.ai says DMCA requests are processed immediately |
| You want data tied to your Lenso.ai account deleted | Account settings or the Data Privacy Officer | Withdraw consent, delete the account, or ask support to remove data |
What about your Lenso.ai account data?
If you have an account, Lenso.ai's privacy page says you can withdraw consent in account settings, delete the account to erase your information, or ask support to remove data. It names a Data Privacy Officer, Hanna Bohr-Szymczak, reachable through the Send an Email link on its privacy-protection page, for privacy questions and data removal. Under the GDPR you also hold the rights to access, erasure and objection against Lenso.ai as an EU company, which is the legal footing for the form; the wider picture is on is face search legal.
How does this apply to FaceSearch?
FaceSearch is a competing face search engine, and this guide exists because removal only works engine by engine. Our own opt-out is free and runs by email: send one clear photo of your face and your contact email to contact@facesearch.cc and we exclude matching faces from our results and confirm when it is done, usually within five business days; no ID is needed unless a request is disputed. The full process is on remove my photos. If you are weighing the two engines for your own self-searches, the Lenso.ai comparison and the Lenso.ai alternatives pages set them side by side.
Questions
01Is the Lenso.ai opt-out free?
Yes. The opt-out form at lenso.ai/en/opt-out is free and does not need an account. Lenso.ai sells paid search plans separately, and none of them is needed to be removed from its results.
02Do I have to send Lenso.ai my ID?
Usually not. Lenso.ai's privacy page says documents or extra personal information are usually not required. One clear photo of your face and an email address are the normal inputs. Keep a redacted ID ready only in case Lenso.ai questions the request.
03How long does Lenso.ai removal take?
Lenso.ai says requests are reviewed every business day and images usually come down in under 24 hours. One data-removal service reported about two weeks in practice. Keep the confirmation email and follow up through contact@lenso.ai if nothing has arrived after two weeks.
04Will the photos disappear from the websites?
No. The opt-out only stops Lenso.ai showing them. The photos stay on the sites that published them until you contact those sites, send a DMCA notice where you own the copyright, or use a platform's own report form. The removal guide covers each route.
05When should I use Lenso.ai's DMCA form instead?
When a specific image you own the copyright to is indexed, for example a photo you took or a portfolio image. Lenso.ai says DMCA and DSA requests are processed immediately. Use the opt-out form when the issue is your face appearing in results, whoever took the photos.
06Does opting out of Lenso.ai remove me from PimEyes or FaceSearch?
No. Every engine keeps its own index and runs its own request. Follow the PimEyes and FaceCheck.ID guides for those engines, and the remove my photos page for FaceSearch.
