Delete Your Account

You can delete your FaceSearch account at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Delete from inside the app

  • Open FaceSearch and go to the Profile tab.
  • Open Settings, then choose Delete Account.
  • Confirm when prompted. You may be asked for your password, or to confirm with Google or Apple, before your sign-in is removed.
  • Your account and its data are removed immediately. You are signed out and returned to the welcome screen.

Delete without the app installed

  • Email contact@facesearch.cc from the address registered to your account, with the subject "Delete my account".
  • We verify that the request comes from the registered address before acting on it.
  • We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your account, email address, and name.
  • Every photo you uploaded to run a search.
  • Your full search history and all saved results.
  • Your referral code and referral statistics.
  • Your sign-in credential with our authentication provider.

What is retained, and why

  • Records of purchases and subscription payments, which we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes. These are retained for as long as the applicable law requires.
  • A record that the device linked to the account has already used its one free trial. This holds no personal data and exists so that deleting an account cannot be used to claim repeated free trials.
  • Data we are required to retain for legal, fraud prevention, or security reasons, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Cancel your subscription first

  • Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the App Store, not by us, so they must be cancelled there.
  • On Android: Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions.
  • On iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
  • Cancel before deleting your account, or billing continues to the end of the current term and renews.
