Free face search, no account needed
Your first face search on FaceSearch is free and needs no account: upload one photo and see the top matching results. A free account adds two more credits. Source links stay locked until you choose a paid plan, which starts at $5 a week. This page spells out exactly what free shows here and on other engines.
First search free. No account needed. Updated November 5, 2026 by The FaceSearch Team. Prices checked on November 5, 2026.
What the free search shows
- A real search, run against the same public-web index as every paid search. Free is not a demo on a smaller database.
- The top results, with the matched image for each, so you can see whether anything is out there.
- No account, no card, no email. You pass a quick bot check, upload a photo and read the results.
- The same privacy rules: metadata stripped, photo never sold, never used to build a face database.
What a free account adds
- Two credits in total, so you can try a second photo or come back later.
- Saved scans in your history that you can reopen or delete.
- Referral credits: invite friends and earn 20% of every plan they buy. See referrals.
- The option to add a plan whenever a result turns out to need a source link.
What stays locked, and why
The source links. A result's thumbnail tells you that your face is somewhere; the link tells you where, which is what you need to ask for a removal or to check a profile. Those links are the part of the service that costs money to produce, so they come with a plan. We would rather lock a link than fund the free tier with ads or by selling data, and we would rather say so plainly than show you a blurred thumbnail and call it free. Deep search also needs an account and a deep credit, because it is the expensive kind of search.
How free tiers compare
| Engine | Free search without an account | What free shows | Source links on free | Cheapest paid entry |

| FaceCheck.ID | Yes | Results with source links, fewer than paid | Shown | $19 for 150 credits valid 14 days; 3 credits per search |
| Lenso.ai | Account needed for most features | Limited previews; face search only in selected regions | Limited | From $15.99 per month |

| Google Lens, TinEye, Yandex | Yes, unlimited | Copies of the same image, not other photos of the face | Shown | Free |
When a free search is enough
When the question is "is my face out there at all?" or "does this dating photo look like it has a life elsewhere?", the free results often settle it. If the thumbnails are all strangers, you have your answer. If one is clearly you on a page you do not recognise, you know there is something to act on, and the plan pays for itself the moment you need that one link.
When to pay
- You need the links. A takedown request, a report to a platform or a check of a profile all need the page URL. Starter at $5 a week unlocks every link and includes three deep searches.
- You check regularly. Creators, models and anyone with a public role tend to search weekly or daily. Daily Pro at $20 a month gives 25 normal credits a day, 15 deep credits and deep search top-ups.
- You are cleaning up at volume. Business at $50 a month has 2,500 normal credits, 50 deep credits, help with take-down requests and 24/7 premium support.
How to run your free search
Pick one clear photo
Front-facing, well lit, one face. JPEG, PNG or WEBP. A screenshot cropped to the face is fine.
Drop it on the search page
Open the search page, pass the bot check and upload. No email, card or account.
Read the top results
Look at the matched images. If one is you on a page you do not know, that is the one worth a link. Reading your results explains the rest.
