About FaceSearch

FaceSearch is a face search engine. A normal reverse image search looks for copies of the same picture. FaceSearch looks for the same face, so it can find different photos of you, not only reposts of one image.

You upload one clear photo. FaceSearch compares the face against publicly accessible images on the web and shows the closest matches, each with the page it came from. A deep search covers more public sources and takes longer.

Photos leave your hands the moment they are posted. They end up in event galleries, on reposting sites, in fake profiles and in scams, and the person in the picture is usually the last to know. The tools that could show you were either built for investigators or priced like it.

FaceSearch exists so that an ordinary person can answer one question in a minute, for free the first time and for the price of a coffee after that: where does my face appear online, and what do I want to do about it?

These are product decisions, not slogans. Each one is visible in how the service works.

• Public pages only. Nothing behind a login, no private albums, no scraping of accounts that are not public.
• Your upload runs your search and nothing else. Metadata is stripped first. It is never sold and never used to build a face database.
• No identity claims. A result is a public page where a similar face appears, not a name. We do not run mugshot or offender databases.
• Removal from our results is free, always. The steps are on the Remove my photos page.
• Searching anyone under 18, and using results for employment, tenant, credit or insurance decisions, is against our rules and gets accounts closed.
• Our comparisons with other engines are written by us, dated, and say where the other tool is better.

FaceSearch is a product of Humanity Founders. The same team writes the guides on this site, which is why every page names them as the author and carries the date it was last reviewed. It runs in the browser, with nothing to install, and is also available as an iOS and Android app.
