FaceSearch vs Lenso.ai
Lenso.ai is a reverse image search suite: faces, places, duplicates, similar and related images, with a Research Mode and an API on higher plans. Its face search is only offered in selected regions. Where Lenso.ai wins
- Breadth. One subscription covers faces, duplicate images, places, similar images and related images. FaceSearch only searches faces.
- Research Mode and filters. Professional adds up to 10,000 results for People and Duplicates and filters by language, domain, date, size and title keyword. FaceSearch's deep search widens the pass but has no filters.
- Alerts on every paid plan, up to 500 on Developer. FaceSearch has none.
- An API. The Developer plan includes Face Search and Reverse Image Search APIs. FaceSearch has no API.
- Copyright workflows. Duplicate search with original-source tracing is built for photographers and brands checking image reuse, a job FaceSearch does not do.
- Collections and sharing. Results can be saved into collections and shared by link.
Where FaceSearch wins
- Availability. FaceSearch's face search works in every region we serve. Lenso's own feature page says its face search is available only in selected regions, so for many people the comparison ends here.
- No account to start. Drop a photo on the search page and see ranked matches. Lenso needs an account for anything past a preview.
- Price of entry. $5 for a week with every source link unlocked, against a monthly subscription reported at $15.99.
- Face-first results. One category, ranked by face similarity, with the source page on every match. No switching between People, Similar and Related to find the relevant list.
- Apps on iOS and Android.
- Removal by email, with ID only for disputed claims.

Face search in your region
Lenso's face search page and home page both carry the note that the feature is available only in selected regions, without listing them. If you sign up and the People category is missing, that is why. FaceSearch does not restrict face search by region among the countries we operate in; our rules are about how you use it, not where you are, and they are on the acceptable use page. The legal guide explains why some engines switch face search off in some places.
Removal compared
Lenso's opt-out form takes one face photo and removes all matching images from its index, with a separate DMCA/DSA route for copyrighted images; its privacy page says requests are reviewed on business days, usually within 24 hours, and rarely rejected. FaceSearch's removal is by email to contact@facesearch.cc with a photo of your face; see remove my photos. Both are free, and both apply to that engine's results only. For a full exit from face search engines, the removal guide lists every engine.
Switching from Lenso.ai to FaceSearch
- Run the same photo on FaceSearch without an account and compare the ranked matches with Lenso's People results.
- If you were using Lenso for duplicates, places or copyright checks, keep it or use Google Lens and TinEye for those; FaceSearch does not replace them. See face search vs reverse image search.
- Start a $5 Starter week for full source links, or Daily Pro if you check often.
- Cancel Lenso in your account settings; subscriptions run to the end of the paid period. If you want your face out of Lenso's index, submit its opt-out form.
Questions
01Is Lenso.ai better than FaceSearch?
Lenso.ai does more: five search categories, filters, alerts, collections and an API. FaceSearch does one thing, face search, with a free no-account start, a $5 week and availability in every region we serve. If Lenso's face category is off in your region, or you only need faces, FaceSearch is the simpler choice.
02Is Lenso.ai free?
Lenso offers free searches on a limited credit allowance, with source links locked behind a plan; its pricing page says only that free credits run out. 2026 reviews put the Starter plan at $15.99 a month. FaceSearch's first search is free without an account, and paid plans start at $5 a week.
03Is Lenso.ai legal or safe to use?
Searching your own face is lawful on both engines. Lenso restricts face search to selected regions, which reflects differing biometric laws, and offers an opt-out and DMCA route. Searching other people is subject to local law on any engine; see our legal guide and acceptable use page.
04Can I use both Lenso.ai and FaceSearch?
Yes. Lenso's duplicate and copyright searches cover jobs FaceSearch does not, and each engine has crawled pages the other has not. Run both on a stolen-photo problem. Removal is per engine, so request it from each separately if you want your face out of results.
05Which is cheaper?
FaceSearch for anything occasional: $5 for a Starter week with all source links unlocked, against a Lenso Starter subscription reported at $15.99 a month. If you need unlimited searches, alerts and 50 unlocks every month, Lenso's monthly price may suit heavy use better.
06Why is face search missing from my Lenso.ai account?
Lenso states that its face search is available only in selected regions and does not list them. If the People category does not appear for you, your region is outside that list. FaceSearch does not restrict face search by region among the countries it operates in.
