First, the name
FaceSearch is the product on this site, facesearch.cc, made by Humanity Founders. Face Search AI is a different product at facesearchai.com, made by a different company. Neither is connected to the other. People searching for one often land on the other, so this page compares them on what they do rather than on the name. If you came here looking for Face Search AI's own site, it is facesearchai.com.

What Face Search AI offers
Face Search AI's home page leads with a free tier: three searches a day, no account, no card. A free result shows how many matches were found, a confidence band and blurred thumbnails; the source URLs, full thumbnails and per-match scores need a paid plan. Its FAQ says uploaded photos are deleted automatically within about fifteen minutes, are never added to a searchable collection and never used to train models, and that removal of your own face from results is free whether or not you have an account.
Beyond the consumer plans it sells an API from $50 a month, runs referral, creator and affiliate programmes, and publishes its own "PimEyes alternative" and lookalike-finder pages. Its FAQ also says that on clear front-facing photos strong matches are correct the overwhelming majority of the time; that is the vendor's own statement, and like every accuracy claim on this page it is unverified until our test method has been run.
Where Face Search AI wins
- Three free searches a day, every day, with no account. FaceSearch's free allowance is one search without an account and two credits on a free account.
- An API with published pricing. FaceSearch has none.
- Programmes for creators and affiliates, if you want to earn from recommending it.
- A stated deletion window of about fifteen minutes for uploads.
- Lookalike and "alternative" pages that make it easy to try from a search result.
Where FaceSearch wins
- Source links from $5. A Starter week unlocks every link on every result; Face Search AI's cheapest unlock is a $7.77 month with ten credits.
- Deep search on every paid plan, with top-ups on Daily Pro and Business.
- Availability. FaceSearch's face search works in every region we serve. Face Search AI's own FAQ says its search is not available in every region.
- Credits that are simple. Weekly or monthly allowances, no premium-credit arithmetic and no conflicting roll-over rules.
- Take-down help on the Business plan, and premium support from Daily Pro up.
- Fewer claims. No published accuracy percentage, no confidence bands dressed up as proof. A result is a public page with a similar face, explained on reading your results.

Removal compared
Both engines remove your own face from their results for free. Face Search AI does it through its "Remove my face" page after you verify the face is yours; FaceSearch does it by email to contact@facesearch.cc with a photo of your face, with ID only for disputed claims; see remove my photos. Neither removal affects the other engine, and neither takes a photo off the site that published it; the removal guide covers that.
Switching from Face Search AI to FaceSearch
- Run the same photo on FaceSearch without an account and compare the ranked matches with Face Search AI's blurred free result.
- If you need an API, stay with Face Search AI or another engine that sells one; FaceSearch has none.
- Start a $5 Starter week for every source link, or Daily Pro if you search most days.
- Cancel the Face Search AI subscription in its account settings, and use its removal page if you want your face out of its results too.
Questions
01Are FaceSearch and Face Search AI the same company?
No. FaceSearch is facesearch.cc, by Humanity Founders. Face Search AI is facesearchai.com, a separate company with a separate product, apps and API. The names are similar; the services, prices and policies are not connected.
02Is Face Search AI better than FaceSearch?
It gives more free searches (three a day) and sells an API. FaceSearch gives every source link from $5 a week, deep search, apps on both stores, take-down help on Business and face search in every region we serve. If the free blurred results are enough, Face Search AI costs nothing; if you need the links, FaceSearch is the cheaper way to them.
03Is Face Search AI free?
The free tier is three searches a day with no account or card, showing a match count, confidence bands and blurred thumbnails. Source URLs need a paid plan from $7.77 a month. FaceSearch's first search is free without an account; every link needs a plan from $5 a week.
04Is Face Search AI legal or safe to use?
Searching your own face is lawful on both. Face Search AI says uploads are deleted within about fifteen minutes and never used for training, and it offers free removal. Searching other people is subject to local law on any engine; see our legal guide and acceptable use page.
05Can I use both Face Search AI and FaceSearch?
Yes. Their indexes differ, so running both on a stolen-photo problem finds more. Both have free starts. If you want your face out of results, request removal from each separately.
06Which is cheaper?
For the occasional check with links, FaceSearch: $5 for a Starter week with all links, against a $7.77 month with ten credits. For daily free searches without links, Face Search AI costs nothing. At volume, FaceSearch's Daily Pro at $20 allows 25 searches a day; Face Search AI's $19.95 Professional includes 150 credits a month.
