FaceSearch vs Eyematch.ai

Eyematch.ai is a newer face search engine that sells monthly plans with daily search limits, starting at $20.99 a month. FaceSearch runs a free first search with no account and then sells a $5 week or a $20 month with deep search. Both say they search only public images and neither names people. Here is how they differ on price, free tier, removal and claims.

First search free. No account needed. Updated November 6, 2026 by The FaceSearch Team. Prices checked on November 6, 2026.

Pick Eyematch.ai if you want a flat monthly plan with up to 40 searches a day and a timeline view, and the price suits you. Pick FaceSearch if you want to see results before paying anything, prefer a $5 week to a $20.99 month, or want deep search and a plain email removal route; the two tools make the same public-web, no-names promise, and we have not yet tested them side by side.

What Eyematch.ai offers

Eyematch.ai's pricing page lists three plans on November 6, 2026: Standard at $20.99 a month with up to 40 searches a day, top results, photo sources and a timeline view; Advanced at $99.99 a month with up to 200 searches a day, all results and a face search reports generator; and a Custom plan for agencies, OSINT researchers and security teams at a quoted price. The page says there are no credit systems, which is true, but it also lists the Standard limit as per day in one place and per month in its metadata, so confirm the limit before you buy.

Its home page makes the same two promises we make: it scans only publicly available images and it "does not identify individuals or assign names to faces". It also claims to be the "most accurate facial search online" without publishing a test, which is the kind of claim our methodology exists to check and which we do not make about ourselves. The company behind it, Eyematch AI Pte. Ltd., is named on its opt-out page as the data controller.

Where Eyematch.ai wins

  • Daily volume on a flat fee. 40 searches a day on Standard is more than Daily Pro's 25, and Advanced allows 200, if you need that many.
  • Timeline view and a reports generator on Advanced, useful for investigators who need to export what they found.
  • A web form for opt-out rather than an email, with a consent statement about temporary processing.
  • Localised pages in Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

Where FaceSearch wins

  • You see results before you pay. The first search is free with no account; Eyematch.ai's pricing page describes no free tier.
  • Price of entry. $5 for a Starter week with every source link, against $20.99 for the cheapest Eyematch.ai month. For the one-question user that is the whole decision.
  • Deep search on every paid plan for a wider pass over the public web, plus deep search top-ups on Daily Pro and Business.
  • Apps on iOS and Android, with the same account and credits as the web.
  • No accuracy claims. We publish how we would test instead of a superlative; see reading your results for what a match does and does not prove.

Switching from Eyematch.ai to FaceSearch

  1. Run a free search on the search page with the photo you have been using; no account is needed for the first one.
  2. If the results are useful, a Starter week at $5 unlocks every source link; a Daily Pro month adds deep search credits and top-ups. See pricing.
  3. Cancel Eyematch.ai in your account there; its pricing page has a cancellation entry in its FAQ, and monthly plans run to the end of the period you paid for.
  4. If you want your own face out of Eyematch.ai's results, use its opt-out form at eyematch.ai/opt-out. Opt-outs are per engine; removal from FaceSearch is a separate, free email described on remove my photos.

Questions

01Is Eyematch.ai better than FaceSearch?

We have not run the side-by-side test yet, so neither of us can claim better results honestly. On the published terms, Eyematch.ai offers more searches per day on a flat monthly fee; FaceSearch offers a free first search, a $5 week, deep search and apps. Pick by how often you search and whether you want to see results before paying.

02Is Eyematch.ai free?

Its pricing page on November 6, 2026 lists Standard at $20.99 a month, Advanced at $99.99 a month and a Custom plan, and describes no free tier. FaceSearch's first search is free without an account.

03Is Eyematch.ai legal or safe to use?

It states that it searches only public images, does not name people and uses uploads only for the search, which are the same commitments FaceSearch makes. Searching your own face is lawful where we operate; searching someone else's is subject to local biometric and privacy law on any engine. Our legal guide covers the US, EU, UK and India.

04Can I use both?

Yes. Two face indexes cover different pages, so a stolen-photo search benefits from both. Run the free first search here, and keep whichever finds more for your case.

05Which is cheaper?

FaceSearch for anyone searching occasionally: free first, then $5 for a week with all links, or $20 for a month with deep search. Eyematch.ai's cheapest plan is $20.99 a month. For 40 or more searches a day on a flat fee, Eyematch.ai's Standard plan may work out cheaper than Business.

06How do I remove my face from Eyematch.ai?

Use the form at eyematch.ai/opt-out: name, email, a description of the request, an optional photo and a consent box. The page promises a confirmation email but no timeline. It only affects Eyematch.ai; every engine needs its own request, and FaceSearch removal is a free email.
